Founding Product Designer

About the Role

You'll build design from the ground-up at both Pool the product and Pool the company. You’ll shape the customer experience end-to-end: onboarding, identity flows, sending and managing money, and all the edge cases in between that make payments hard. This is a role for someone who loves shipping, details, and making complex financial concepts feel simple.

In this role, you’ll lead product design across discovery, prototyping, user research, and high-fidelity execution. This role is an excellent fit for someone who is opinionated and collaborative, and comfortable making calls with incomplete data.

Who you are

• You're someone who cares deeply about impact and the customers you serve. You want real ownership over what is shipped. You've worked on a product people use weekly (or daily) and are not afraid of regulation and compliance.
• You love getting it right, and have strong opinions about typography, interaction design, brand design and product narratives.
• You've used Figma professionally, and are curious about new, design-focused AI tools and how they'll change your day-to-day work. You've collaborated deeply with engineering teams.
• You want to be part of a focused, high-performing team, and you're available to work in-person three days a week in San Francisco (relocation is possible!)
