We are committed to keeping your money safe at Pool, and we appreciate your help in keeping our system secure for all members. All Pools need to follow the guidelines below:
Pool is built on trust. As an Admin, you have a responsibility to the rest of your Pool members. If there are tools that would make pooling, collecting and spending money together easier, please let us know.
Understand that trust goes both ways. Pools are for family, friends, communities and collaborators. Make sure you trust the creator of the Pool, and understand what you are funding.
Don’t impersonate a person or organization. Any Pool that is found to be impersonating a person or organization will be investigated and subject to closure.
Final decisions are made at Pool’s discretion. Our goal is to keep the Pool ecosystem and your money safe. Payments is a highly regulated industry and we must ensure we are complying with local, state and federal law, along with the policies of our financial and technology partners.
There are many ways to use Pool, and we celebrate that diversity. However, the following types of Pools are prohibited, and Pool will take appropriate action if we determine, in our sole discretion, that your Pool is inappropriate, unlawful or illegal. Specifically, we prohibit Pools that involve:
Impersonating a person or organization.
Weapons of any kind, money laundering, or terrorist financing.
Narcotics, prescription drugs, controlled substances or steroids.
Gambling, lotteries, contests, pyramid schemes, or coupons.
Stolen goods including both physical and digital/virtual goods.
Promoting offensive content or hate speech (the determination as to whether a group or activity promotes offensive content or hate speech is solely within Pool’s discretion).
Violating any law, or engaging in any criminal activity, including without limitation child pornography, fraud, bribery, harassment, stalking, or spamming.
The sale of goods, services, or equity in a company.
